GREG LAURIE
Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, began his pastoral ministry at age 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people. Since then, God has transformed that small group into one of the largest churches in America.
In 1990, Laurie began holding public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since that time, more than 4 million people have attended Harvest Crusades across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Laurie is the featured speaker of Harvest Ministry's nationally syndicated radio program, A New Beginning, with daily listeners coast-to-coast and overseas.
In addition to his work at Harvest Ministries, Laurie serves on the board of directors of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse. He holds two honorary doctorates from Biola University and Azusa Pacific University.
Laurie has authored over 30 books, including his autobiography, Lost Boy (Regal), which released in 2008 and was subsequently nominated for Outreach Magazine's Outreach Resource of the year in the Evangelism category. The story of Greg Laurie’s life is also in the film Lost Boy: the next chapter, that won over 5 film festival awards.
In addition, Laurie has authored Gold Medallion Award Winner, The Upside-Down Church (Tyndale, 1999) as well as authoring study notes for two Bibles in the New Living Translation: the New Believer's Bible and The Seeker's Bible. His books have been translated into many languages, including Korean, Latvian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Laurie is currently working on a new study Bible project to be released later this year by Thomas Nelson publishers.
He also is the author of the just completed book Signs of the times which is a look at end times events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Whether speaking or writing, God has gifted Laurie with the ability to apply biblical principles to current events in a way that is relevant and easily understood by people of all ages, from all walks of life.
